None of us can believe that our little Troy is already three years old!
Yesterday was a lot of fun! A huge part of what made the day so nice, was the fact that I set up all the decorations and had dinner and the cupcakes ready the night before, so we could relax and be stress free for Troy's big day! It's been so windy lately so we decided to fly kites. What great, cheap entertainment kite flying is! (It was a little too windy for Penelope to enjoy herself outside of the car, so we watched the boys from inside!)
Decorations:
The theme was fish. Yes, I know you're thinking that's pretty awesome. Everything turned out really cute! There were a few big cupcakes holding fish on fishing poles.. Mini cupcakes for everyone to enjoy as well.. Snack bowls: Goldfish crackers "Catch of the Day" and Gummy Worms "Bait"... Blue streamers and balloons hung from the ceiling to give the feel of water and bubbles.. And jello with gummy worms inside for the little party guests to take home with them!
Gifts:
Troy loves everything he got for his birthday. He has all the get-up he'd need to go searching for bugs. We did a little bug searching today, while at the lake. Him and Tanner caught a few spiders and kept them in his new bug catcher for awhile. He's also ready to go visit the grandparents with his new luggage and fancy clothes. I'm so excited about all his art/craft stuff: bath crayons, bath paints, water dyes, playdoh (with cool tools), chalk board, and paper and markers to let his little artistic side show! He also has plenty of figurines that he now plays and sleeps with.
Our little place was filled to the max. I wish it would have been nice to hold it outdoors. It was still fun though!
Thanks to everyone who made turning 3 so exciting for our little guy!
Happy Birthday our ornery little boy!
