When we've run out of things to do and mom is definitely ready for dad to be home we end up doing a little face painting. The boys LOVE it, especially when I let Troy paint my face.
You might have found your magic secret! However, I do find it interesting that face painting is a calming activity. I would find it more stressful. You are probably a better woman than I am!
