Our Bedroom

My latest project has been the collage of items over our bed. I've arranged, then re-arranged again and again, but I think this is how it'll be... for now. I feel like I've lucked out with everything I've got up on the walls! The wreaths costed me pretty much nothing to make (Thanks to Amber and Cassie for this fun, easy, CHEAP craft!), the Always Kiss Me Goodnight sign was from Ross, the long rectangle frame under that was purchased from Hobby Lobby and the frames of our boys were from Walmart. I have gone so long with this all being incomplete, so for it to all be done and looking fabulous, makes me OH SO HAPPY!

Before

I wish I had gotten more "before" pictures of our room, but sadly, I didn't even think of it. So, imagine everything bare. Really bare. The closet is 100% new. My amazingly, talented hubby built that closet that looks OH SO PERFECT! I'm so excited that we finally have two closets to work with, instead of just one.

After
I'm almost done with that fancy little mirror sitting on our bed and then I'll post a picture!

I still need to hang our curtains...

See those fancy little pink bows on each of the bears?? Yep, I added those. Just to make it all the more girlie!

Ok, so I do feel kind of bad for this.... Adam built this gorgeous closet and then the ladies of the house took it over. Typical women, right?? Check out all those baby clothes already!!! She's pretty much all set, up until a year, which I think is pretty dang impressive. Awesome Fact: 18 of those outfits there were purchased by muah at a garage sale for 50 cents each! I get so excited about my bargain buys!!

Adam wouldn't move for my picture :)

I plan to eventually re-do my wreaths.. :( I got a little carried away with the spray paint (to bring them out more against the white wall) and it's so uneven. Plus, I'd like to make the next ones more full and fluffy!

My super cheap frames from Walmart, painted with some awesome spray paint (also from Wally), makes this display my favorite!!! We get 10x13 pictures of the kids each birthday, but I think we're going to bend the rules this go round and get an early one of Baby Girl so she's included!

We have the most beautiful children!

The framed mirror that I'm working on will go on that empty wall.

I LOVE HER DRESSER AND ACCESSORIES! Everything here was gifted to us at some point or another, except the flowers.. and those cost me a whopping $4.00 for the bundle :)

Do you love the flower knob I added?! I sure do!!!

So there you have it! Our bedroom pretty much completed and all ready for our new addition!

what i'm doing right now....

i used to be such a blogger. blogging daily, sometimes multiple times a day, but lately i get tired at the thought of taking pictures and uploading them... then the typing? ugh. i'm too drained. this baby girl is literally sucking the energy from me these days. you should see my house (actually no you shouldn't)... a disaster.

however, my mom and sis will be here in three weeks, never mind so will baby! so i am determined to push myself to get things done! i'm currently very motivated to start picking up the house and finish some things i'm working on in our bedroom but i'm having to type with one hand (reason for the no caps) and use the other to hold up a very tiny, sweaty, sleepy noggin. little munchkin troy woke a touch too early from his nap, came and snuggled next to me and decided to finish his nap here. i can't imagine he's very comfy, sitting next to me since the belly is hogging all the lap room, and having to lean into me while i hold his head up.

while i sit here, i'm pondering what all needs to get done and what projects i'd like to have done asap. here's some ideas i've found online that i would like to recreate in our house:

OBVIOUSLY, all of this won't be complete in three weeks or even three months, but in the semi-near future here are some of the things i'd one day like to have in our home :)

Troy's up now and so is the Tan Man, so I'm off to work! Picture hopefully posted very soon!!

Being Crafty Runs In Our Family!

Look at how awesome my husband is (he's really cute too!). He spent all afternoon yesterday making this rifle bench. (A table he'll take out target shooting and place his gun and stand on.) He cut all the wood and did all the painting. I don't have a picture of it, but he also attached collapsible legs so it folds up nicely. It really does look amazing! Here's his work:

I hate when this happens... The picture is flipped and I can't get it right. He had his own design in mind for the tree and went right to work tearing all the painter's tape to form his tree.

And the painting began! It looks good now, but it gets even better!

This is the finished product! It's kind of hard to see, but Adam flicked (my brain is so blank right now and I can't think of "technical" terms, but you get the idea) yellow and the dark green paint over the entire table to give it a nice finished look. It really does look sooo good and I know he can't wait to have a clear, day off so he can test it out!

Our Weekend Projects

I am so unbelievably slow these days at getting around to doing things. I FINALLY finished 3 projects that I've been meaning to have done for weeks. Adam has finally finished the wall, minus the trim. I need to take a picture of the wall with the door up and everything, but like I said, I'm slow... so maybe that picture will get on here in a month or so..

p.s. Adam got to use his new air compressor that my dad and Judy bought him and he LOVES it! Thank you both so much for such an awesome and useful gift!

As we were working one day, I went to check on Tanner and this is where I found him. Sitting in the dirty laundry basket just working away on his computer! Behind him is the bulletin board that I FINALLY painted. It looks pretty good.

My next projects were painting these frames and getting the boys to draw pictures for them and also hanging their coat rack that I bought about 7 months ago and am just now getting up. This picture doesn't do it all justice. Everything looks really cute hung up and Troy loves that the coat rack is just low enough for him to hang his coat and hat!

Tanner drew everything you could think of! A birthday cake, Kung Fu Panda, a REALLY scary monster, a couple snakes, a vampire bat, a cloud and a television... he even drew himself next to the bat in the bottom picture!

Beautiful artwork!

New couches! We finally got a sofa set and love the heck out of them! They're so pretty!!

I obviously don't take very straight pictures, but this shows you how sparkly it is!

And last but not least, I hung the frames we bought from IKEA with the pictures we got from Adam's siblings this past Christmas. I still need to get a few, but I love the way the frames display every picture so nicely!

p.s. Notice how incredibly straight and even AND LEVEL those frames are?! Yep, that was ALL me and my awesome skills!

I still need to post a picture of the boys' beds but their room is so badly trashed that I didn't want your attention directed to the mess that I haven't cleaned! So, that picture is coming soon!
